Terms of Service

Last updated: October 16, 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Sadiq website and the Sadiq software service (together, the "Service"), operated by Aamir Mohammed ("Sadiq," "we," "us"). By using the website, requesting access, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a masjid, Islamic center, or other organization (the "Organization"), you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Sadiq is record-keeping software for masjids. It helps an Organization record donations, expenses, bills, funds, members, and related information, and produce reports from that information. Sadiq is a software tool only. Sadiq is not a bank, payment processor, money transmitter, accountant, auditor, tax advisor, lawyer, or religious authority.

2. Early access

Sadiq is in early access. Some features shown on this website are enabled for an Organization during onboarding or are still being developed, and features may change, be added, or be removed. Product screenshots on this website use sample data from a demo masjid and are for illustration only.

3. No financial, tax, legal, or religious advice

Nothing in the Service or on this website is financial, accounting, tax, legal, or religious advice. In particular, Sadiq does not decide whether any payment is Zakat, who is eligible to receive Zakat, or how any fund may be used under Islamic law. Those decisions belong to the Organization and its scholars. The Organization is responsible for its own bookkeeping, tax filings, donor receipts and acknowledgments, nonprofit compliance, and audits, and should consult qualified professionals.

4. Your data and your responsibilities

The Organization owns the data it enters into the Service and grants us a limited license to host and process it only to provide the Service. The Organization is responsible for the accuracy of its data, for having the right to enter information about donors and members, for how it uses and shares any reports (including any public transparency page it chooses to publish), and for keeping its login credentials secure. Reports are only as accurate as the data entered.

5. Payments and third-party services

Donations are processed by third parties the Organization chooses, such as Stripe, and settle directly into the Organization's own accounts. Sadiq never holds, receives, or moves donated funds, and never takes a percentage of donations. Bank connections, where enabled, are provided by Plaid with read-only access. Third-party services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, fees, errors, or actions.

6. Fees, pilots, and cancellation

Plans are billed monthly (or annually, if chosen) at the price agreed when the Organization subscribes, with no long-term contract. A one-time setup fee covers data migration, configuration, and training; it is paid half at signing and half at go-live, and is not refundable once work has begun because it pays for work performed. A founding rate, where offered, stays in effect for as long as the subscription continues without a break.

30-day promise. If the Organization gives us written notice within 30 days after go-live that it wishes to cancel, we will return the first month's subscription fee to the Organization (we describe this as a donation to the masjid), and the account will be closed with a full data export. This promise applies once per Organization and does not cover the setup fee.

Otherwise, the Organization may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except as stated above or where required by law. After cancellation the Organization may export its data for 30 days, after which we may delete it.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service for anything unlawful; to store data unrelated to the Organization's operations; to access another Organization's data or bypass security; to upload malicious code; to send unsolicited messages; or to resell the Service without our written agreement. We may suspend access that violates these Terms or puts the Service or other users at risk.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, and the Sadiq name and logo belong to us. These Terms do not give you any right to them other than to use the Service as described. Third-party names and logos shown on this website are trademarks of their owners, are shown only to describe compatibility, and do not imply endorsement or partnership.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE AND THIS WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT IT WILL INCREASE DONATIONS OR PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT. THE ORGANIZATION SHOULD KEEP ITS OWN RECORDS AND EXPORT ITS DATA REGULARLY.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DONATIONS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT THE ORGANIZATION PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

11. Indemnification

The Organization agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from its data, its use of the Service, its decisions about funds and Zakat, its communications with donors or members, or its violation of these Terms or of law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are violated, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service, in which case we will give reasonable notice where possible and an opportunity to export data.

13. Disputes and governing law

If a dispute arises, please contact us first; we will try in good faith to resolve it informally within 30 days. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California. To the extent permitted by law, claims must be brought individually and not as part of a class or representative action.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify Organization administrators by email and update the date above. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept it.

15. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with any written order or pilot agreement, are the entire agreement about the Service. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent.
