This policy explains what information Sadiq (operated by Aamir Mohammed) collects through this website and the Sadiq service, how it is used, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain.
If you use the "Request access" form, we collect what you type: your name, email, masjid name, and masjid size. We use it only to reply to you about Sadiq. Form submissions are processed by our hosting provider, Netlify. We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists. Our hosting provider may log basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site running securely.
When a masjid uses Sadiq, its staff enter information the masjid needs to run its finances, which may include:
The masjid controls this information and decides what is entered. We process it only to provide the service to that masjid, to support the masjid when it asks for help, and to keep the service secure.
A masjid may choose to publish a page showing its income and spending totals. These pages are designed to show totals by category, not individual donors. The masjid decides whether to publish, and what to include.
We use a small number of providers to run Sadiq: Netlify (website hosting and forms), Supabase (database and login), Stripe (payments, if the masjid uses it), Plaid (bank connections, if the masjid uses it), and Anthropic (the optional in-app assistant). Each processes information only to provide its part of the service, under its own terms and privacy policy.
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls that keep each masjid's records separate. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Request-access messages are kept as long as needed to follow up, and deleted on request. A masjid's data is kept while its account is active. After cancellation, the masjid may export its data for 30 days, after which we delete it, except where we must keep information to meet legal obligations.
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete information you sent us through this website. If your information is held by a masjid that uses Sadiq, please contact that masjid, which controls those records; we will help it respond. California residents may have additional rights under California law, which we honor. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information through it. A masjid may record family members as part of its own records, under its own responsibility.
We may update this policy. If a change is material, we will update the date above and, for masjids using the service, notify their administrators by email.
